When is L.A. Grain closed for holidays?

2024 Holiday Schedule - Our facility will be closed the following days:

1/1 - New Year’s Day

2/19 - Presidents Day

5/27 - Memorial Day

7/4 - Independence Day

9/2 - Labor Day

11/28 & 11/29 - Thanksgiving

12/25 - Christmas           


Inbound Truck Drivers

Are deliveries by appointment only?

Yes. To make an appointment, please visit OpenDock.com.

 

What is the best way to get to L.A. Grain?

Incoming deliveries must follow a specified route to avoid ticketing. Please see our Truck Route for details and directions.

 

Do I need a TWIC card?

No.

If I miss my appointment, who do I call?

If you miss your delivery appointment, please call the shipper.

 

Does L.A. Grain have overnight parking?

No.

 

How early can I show up for my appointment?

It depends on how busy we are at the time. If you arrive early, please call (562) 595-7559.

 

Can I clean up my trailer after I get it unloaded?

Yes. We have a designated location with a trash bin to use after the trailer is unloaded.

Does L.A. Grain have their own chassis?

Yes. We own over 50 heavyweight permitted chassis. More info.

 

How far is L.A. Grain from the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach?

2-5 miles. We’re strategically located in the “overweight corridor.”

 

Which terminals are difficult to obtain same day delivery appointments?

TRAPAC and TTI.

Does L.A. Grain have their own trucks?

Yes. We own a fleet of tri-axle and four axle heavyweight permitted trucks. More info.

 

Can L.A. Grain transload damaged containers?

Yes.

 

All of your docs are in PDF. Can we get them in excel?

We have updated our system to export to excel.

 
 

How long does it take a driver to deliver a load to the terminal?

Assuming we can get an appointment, it takes about 2 hours if the terminals are not very busy.
